A Slow Descent Into Rain
by Gabriel
It is raining outside while I’m tap-tap-tapping this out on the keyboard. I can hear the rain hitting the roof, and though it is mildly distracting, I like how it sounds paired with a heaping helping of Pandora.com. Just an hour ago, I was thinking about going out and dancing in the rain. I certainly can’t pull that off now. The funny thing is, It didn’t start off pouring. It almost never does. The rain starts small. The temperature drops a few degrees, dark clouds form. You don’t notice those things, and they pass right under your radar. Next it starts to drizzle. You don’t mind that, because you have a handy pocket umbrella. You continue to walk, if you are me, you are probably dancing throughout. Before you know it, the sky empties out every drop of moisture it has been keeping in it’s secret arsenal, waiting to get you unprepared. You, of course, get drenched. No umbrella can help when it is raining sideways. You show up at school, work, the carnival, wherever it is you are going, completely soaked down to your knickers. How could this happen? The forecast said it would be sunny all day, didn’t it? The truth is, you can’t trust a forecast. You have to get on your guard at those first signs of rain, or you’ll probably wound up soaked. Catch the small things before they become a hurricaine.

That’s the creative gift of imagination and creativity God gave you. I pray often for the gifts He included in your spiritual, mental, emotional and physical DNA to be fully developed in you and fully dedicated to His glory by you. I love you. PaPa

Great message Gabriel. We all need to be aware of those small things that can turn into a destructive hurricane if left unattended. You are still one of my favorites!
